Position Summary

We are seeking an Account Director to oversee a growing portfolio of home services and home improvement clients, to ensure their marketing strategies deliver strong bottom-line performance. This individual will be responsible for managing client relationships, driving internal teams toward execution, and ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and meet or exceed client expectations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, extremely focused, and solutions-oriented —capable of juggling multiple projects while proactively pushing teams toward on-time completion deadlines. They must be data-driven, results-focused, and an exceptional communicator who can act as a trusted advisor to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management & Strategy Execution

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all client communications, ensuring clear, transparent, and proactive communication.
  • Develop strategic marketing plans tailored to each client’s business goals, ensuring alignment with bottom-line performance metrics.
  • Regularly assess client KPIs, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize campaign performance.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for growth, upselling, and cross-selling additional services based on client needs.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and performance presentations, highlighting progress, areas for improvement, and future initiatives.

Project & Workflow Management

  • Drive internal teams (paid media, SEO, affiliate managers and channel partners, content, creative, development) to ensure timely execution of campaigns, website updates, and deliverables.
  • Develop clear timelines, deliverable schedules, and action plans to ensure all tasks are completed on time.
  • Push teams aggressively but effectively to resolve roadblocks, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.
  • Ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns, troubleshooting issues proactively and ensuring swift resolution.
  • Maintain meticulous project documentation, status reports, and updates for both internal and external stakeholders.

Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across campaigns, including lead generation, cost per lead, cost per set appointment, cost per acquisition (CPA), conversion rates, return on ad spend (ROAS) and net marketing costs as a percent of gross revenue.
  • Work closely with media buyers, SEO specialists, and analytics teams to ensure campaigns are optimized based on performance data.
  • Identify underperforming areas and develop action plans to improve results.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, marketing best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance client strategies.

Team & Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Act as the bridge between clients and internal teams, ensuring both sides have the necessary information to execute effectively.
  • Provide clear, concise feedback to creative, media, and development teams to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Lead internal strategy meetings, fostering collaboration and accountability across teams.
  • Support the business development team by contributing to proposals and pitches when needed.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing account management, client services, or related roles—preferably in an agency environment.
  • Strong background in home services and home improvement marketing, with an understanding of industry challenges and trends.
  • Proven track record of managing performance-focused marketing campaigns with a focus on lead generation, conversion optimization, and ROI.
  • Experience working with Google Ads, Facebook Ads, SEO, email marketing, website optimization and affiliate marketing channels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and pushing for results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present data-driven insights in a compelling manner.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Monday.com, Asana, Trello, etc.) and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Looker, etc.).
  • Ability to think critically, problem-solve quickly, and proactively suggest solutions to challenges.
  • High level of attention to detail and accountability for results.
