Senior Account Director, Performance Marketing
The Performance Senior Account Director role is a strategic client facing lead responsible for overseeing a portfolio of performance marketing clients that deploy large media spends and other lead generation tactics to generate sales. This position requires an action-oriented marketer who monitors daily campaign performance and builds a strong client relationship.
From a solutions management perspective, this requires a results-driven individual with a strong understanding of digital marketing and analytics strategies, with some experience in affiliate marketing channels and lead aggregation platforms. The ideal candidate will ideally have a proven track record of successfully driving lead generation programs that entail optimizing performance media channels to exceed client lead goals.
This role requires financial tracking responsibility for the assigned client base, which includes sourcing organic business opportunities by building relationships across the client’s company, lead delivery platforms and using knowledge of the client’s operating model and core economic drivers.
From a leadership perspective, the ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successfully driving lead generation efforts leveraging close client collaboration, understanding performance marketing platforms and working with internal execution teams to ensure on-time planning, delivery, implementation and measurement. Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for maintaining and deepening existing client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for key client contacts, fostering strong long-term relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Understanding of clients’ business model, objectives, marketing goals, and performance metrics to develop tailored marketing strategies.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their target audiences, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Lead client meetings, check-ins, quarterly and annual reviews.
- Coordinate and oversee the production of client presentations.
- Review, understanding and interpretation of analytics reports.
- Provide insights on campaign performance, strategy adjustments, and growth opportunities to expand lead generation.
- Work with internal Fountain strategy teams to develop and implement innovative lead generation strategies across multiple channels (e.g., paid search, paid social, local SEO, develop, CRO, affiliate marketing and lead aggregation platforms).
- Collaborate with the Fountain analytics team to utilize data analysis and performance metrics to optimize campaigns and enhance ROI and lead performance.
- Oversee the development of marketing budgets and ensure campaigns are executed within financial parameters and adhere to client spend levels.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the team’s strategies are best in class and driving results.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of performance client service specialists and junior account managers.
Provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities working with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer. - Set clear performance goals and KPIs for team members, conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in performance marketing, digital marketing, or a related field, with a focus on lead generation.
- Proven experience managing enterprise level accounts with multiple client stakeholders.
